CaseAudit is a Quality Assurance (QA) application for Anesthesia and other hospital departments. It is Windows-based and uses scanners and imaging technology. CaseAudit produces QA reports for internal QA purposes form case data that is collected on a Case Record from and scanned into a database. The application is installed on-site at the hospital department.

Hospital departments can use the Case Record two-sided paper form that comes with CaseAudit, or can modify it with Axim's help to capture relevant case data. The Case Record is made part of the existing paper medical record form and is filled out as part of the medical record by physcians or other health professionals.

When a physician carries out a procedure and fills out the medical record form, he/she can also check off boxes on the Case Record. The Case Record is torn off from the medical record and forwarded to the department. The departmental administrator takes all the Case Record forms, daily or weekly,  and feeds them into a scanner which automatically scans and processes them, writing the information into the CaseAudit database. The administrator has the ability to view any scanned forms on the screen which the system couldn't process and correct them online.

Once the data is in the database various QA reports can be generated and printed out. CaseAudit comes with a library of such reports. Axim can also help departments generate additional reports that they need.
